Project

Module 13 is one of my favorite project. In this module we had to collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address a local problem for which education can create a positive effect.
As SDG we choose " Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Our project was about teaching students of the economy stream of IMEAO-3 who are in their final year to write a business plan.

Our stakeholders were:

- The school (IMEAO-3)
- The students
- The Ministry of Education
- The Ministry of Trade and Industry
- The Chamber of Commerce.

The project was successful thanks to the effort of my group members and the different stakeholders.

You can see the whole  development of the process here

We also worked on this document. Here are some impressions.

Teaching and ICT tools

ICT IN EDUCATION "MEANS" Teaching and learning with ICT

ICT tools I frequently use in class are google docs (https://docs.google.com/document), google sheets ((https://www.google.com/sheet), and Kahoot (http://kahoot.it). With google docs and google sheets, students can work together without having to come together. When they add the teacher, the teacher can also track their assignment and give feedback. These tools are all free. You do not need any sticks.

Here are some ICT tools.

 les met Ict

  • Through ICT, images can easily be used in teaching and improving the retentive memory of students
  • Through IC, teachers can easily explain complex instruction and ensure students comprehension.
  • Through ICT, teachers are able to create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable which could improve student attendance and concentration.

ICT in Education

Lesson Plan

Challenge

Problem-Solving and Simulation

From Professor Padhu, we have done a number of projects.
First we did the Learning by Doing Projects.
One of them is designing a wind powered car with recyclable materials such as foam plates, CD's, bottle caps etc.

Another great "learning by doing project" is creating a tornado in a bottle (great for geography lessons!!) With this lessons we can show rather than explain to our students how a tornado works.

Beginning of Year 2, I participated in an online course, which was a challenge for me. The lesson was about Robots

    Lessonplan module 17

    Module 14
    Mentoring and giving feedback

    Giving feedback to Rina

Here I giving feedback to Afanaisa.

She is my role model in the classroom, because she lived far from Paramaribo and is always on time to work on group assignment. She’s go-getter, doesn't give up easily even if the assignments are difficult. She is also happy to help others when they are working together. Here are we working on our group assignment module 14, giving feedback to each other.

Providing feedback is always good. You can learn from another.
